Section 1 clarifies language permitting a landlord operating a lease under a federally-subsidized tenancy program to charge late fees on a schedule consistent with applicable federal law.
Sections 2 to 4 extend the effective dates of provisions of statutes originally enacted in 2010 that established special rules for evictions when a tenant is remaining on property subject to foreclosure or termination of a contract for deed. Provisions due to expire on December 31, 2012, would be extended to 2014.
