H.F. No. 2455/S.F. No. 1544 (Second Engrossment) authorizes counties, towns, cities, and other public corporations to lease or convey land for less than market value to a congressionally chartered veteran service organization for public use.  The governing body must authorize the lease or conveyance.  A veterans service organization that receives property under this section must notify the local government if the organization no longer uses the property for a public purpose or if it wants to sell the property.  The organization must convey the property to the local government at the government's request.  For purposes of the new subdivision, “congressionally chartered veteran service organization” means a veteran organization granted a charter by the United States Congress.
