S.F. No. 1157 creates the Metropolitan Transportation Board to take the place of the current transportation advisory board.  The Board is the designated planning agency for long-range comprehensive transportation planning required by federal law.  The membership of the board is the same as the transportation advisory board except that the eight members from the Metropolitan Council precincts and the member of the Metropolitan Council are removed.  Other conforming changes are made.
