S.F. No. 792 gives property owners another option in initiating concurrent detachment and annexation proceedings.  The proceeding may be initiated by submitting to the chief administrative officer a petition of property owners and the resolution of at least one municipality stating its desire to have the land concurrently detached and annexed.  Current law allows property owners to initiate a proceeding only if there is a resolution by each affected municipality to support the detachment and annexation.  References consistent with the change are added.
