This bill adds language to allow additional cities to be eligible for up to $5 million in grants from the $10 million economic development fund allocated under Rochester’s local sales tax authorization. Under this bill, cities with a 2010 population of at least 1,000 and a city boundary within 25 miles of Rochester’s geographic center that are closer to Rochester than another city with a population of 20,000 or more are eligible for such grants.
This bill is effective the day following final enactment.
