S.F. No. 977 - Modifying Department of Human Services Background Study Provisions
Author: Senator Sharon Erickson Ropes
Prepared by: Joan White, Senate Counsel (651/296-3814)
Date: March 3, 2009

Senate File No. 977 modifies the Department of Human Services Background Studies chapter of law, by modifying the ten-year bar and seven-year bar to set aside a disqualification. Current law only prohibits a set aside of a disqualification in connection with certain licenses in which services are provided in a "provider's home," and this bill extends that prohibition to "corporate homes."
