S.F. No. 2447 - Modifying Trunk Highway Bond Appropriation

Section 1 modifies the trunk highway bonding program established in Laws 2008, chapter 152, as follows:

removes the $100 million annual appropriations in fiscal years 2017 and 2018, and increases the appropriations in fiscal years 2011 and 2012 from $100 million to $200 million; and

clarifies that the date of authorization for bonds under this program is to be considered the year in which the bonds are issued, in order to prevent cancellations of these bonds as specified in Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.

This bill is effective the day following final enactment.
