 The bill appropriates $200,000 each year of the biennium from the general fund to the Commissioner of Corrections for an offender reentry pilot project. The commissioner shall award a grant to a community-based nonprofit organization, which will then provide reentry services for offenders incarcerated in state correctional facilities.

The bill requires the Commissioner of Corrections to report to the Legislature about the project by January 15, 2010.
