This bill exempts from payment or computation of motor vehicle sales tax those passenger automobiles or motorcycles purchased outside of the United States by members of the United States Armed Forces. The purchase must be made while the Armed Forces member is serving outside the U.S. in federal active military service, and the exemption is limited to one qualifying vehicle during the service member's lifetime.

This bill is effective for sales and purchases made after December 31, 2007, and for other vehicles for which tax is due after December 31, 2007.
