This bill establishes Minnesota Sesquicentennial Special License Plates for automobiles, one-ton pickups and recreational vehicles. The Commissioner of Public Safety is directed to design the plate in consultation with the Minnesota Sesquicentennial Commission.

An applicant for the plate shall pay a $10 fee, to be deposited in the vehicle services operating account in the special revenue fund, and also contribute a minimum of $25 to the Minnesota Sesquicentennial Commission, to be deposited in the sesquicentennial account in the special revenue fund.

The plate may be transferred to another allowable vehicle registered to the same individual, with payment of a $5 transfer fee.
