S.F. No. 1387 would continue medical assistance eligibility for an individual who is charged with a crime and incarcerated but not convicted. Medical assistance would be suspended until the individual was released, and upon release, the individual would continue to be eligible until the next determination period. If the individual was convicted, medical assistance eligibility would end.
