The bill appropriates $500,000 from the general fund to the Commissioner of Public Safety for a grant to the city of St. Paul to implement an integrated domestic violence response framework, which develops policies and procedures for domestic violence responses from 911 operators, law enforcement, prosecutors, probation officers, the courts, and victim advocates. This is a onetime appropriation, and requires the city of St. Paul to submit a report to the Legislature by February 1, 2010, on the results of the project.
