The bill exempts zylon-based bullet-proof vests from the reimbursement eligibility requirements
listed in Minnesota Statutes, section 299A.38, subdivision 3, paragraph (b), which are:
Under the bill, officers are eligible for reimbursement for zylon-based vests purchased or possessed prior to July 1, 2005.
