Laws 2003, Chapter 114 - Housing Violation Hearings

This act modifies the time period for serving a summons and scheduling a hearing for actions involving a housing violation. Current law requires that the hearing be scheduled not less than five nor more than ten days after receipt of the complaint by the court administrator. This is changed to not less than seven nor more than 14 days after receipt of the complaint.

In addition, the summons and complaint must be served upon the landlord or the agent not less than seven nor more than 14 days before the hearing.
