The bill allows counties to acquire land, towers, and other equipment to establish radio broadcasting stations for public safety communications, including police, fire, highway maintenance, EMS, and other communications as determined by the county.

The bill also permits counties to enter into and charge a fee for site use agreements with commercial wireless communications service providers or others for the use of county-owned property for the purpose of installing antennas or other communications equipment.
