S.F. No. 141 establishes licensure status for registered dental assistants. Currently, there are registered dental assistants and dental assistants that are not registered. This bill changes registered dental assistants to licensed dental assistants.

Sections 1 strikes a reference to registered dental assistants in Minnesota Statutes, chapter116J.

Section 2 strikes a reference to registered dental assistants in chapter 144.

Sections 3 to 24 strike references to registered dental assistants and amends the references with licensed dental assistants in chapter 150A where appropriate..

Section 7 adds a definition for the "practice of dental assisting."

Section 25 strikes a reference to registered dental assistant in chapter 214.

Section 26 strikes a reference to registered dental assistant in chapter 352.
